Cookies policy
Nomad Campus utilise des cookies et des technologies similaires pour faire fonctionner, protéger et améliorer la plateforme Nomad Campus. Cette politique explique comment et pourquoi nous utilisons ces technologies, ainsi que les choix qui s’offrent à vous.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your device (e.g. your phone or your computer). For example, one cookie may allow us to recognize your browser, while another may store your preferences. Two types of cookies are used on the Nomad Campus Platform: (1) “session cookies” and (2) "persistent cookies”. Session cookies are typically deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your device even after your close your browser and can be used the next time you visit the Nomad Campus Platform.
We also use other technologies similar to cookies, such as web beacons, pixels, mobile equipment identifiers, and tracking URLs, to collect Connection Data (as described in the Privacy Policy). For example, our e-mails may contain web beacons and tracking URLs to determine whether you have opened a particular message or accessed a particular link.
Why does Nomad Campus use these technologies?
We use these technologies for a variety of reasons, including to:
- Allow you to use and access the Nomad Campus Platform and Payment Services.
- Enable, facilitate and simplify the use and access of the Nomad Campus Platform.
- To better understand and improve your experience and interaction with the Nomad Campus Platform.
- Offer you personalized advertising (on the Nomad Campus Platform and on third-party websites).
- To provide you with content (including advertisements) that is more relevant to you.
- Monitor and analyse the performance, operation and efficiency of the Nomad Campus Platform and advertising.
To implement legal agreements governing the use of the Nomad Campus Platform.
For fraud detection, prevention and investigation purposes.
For our own customer service, analysis, research, product development and regulatory compliance.
Third parties
It is also likely to authorise certain business partners to install these technologies on the Nomad Campus Platform. These partners use these technologies to (1) help us analyze how you use the Nomad Campus Platform, such as by tracking/ reviewing the third-party websites you use to access the Platform, (2) market and promote Nomad Campus services on the Nomad Campus Platform and third-party websites, (3) help us detect and prevent fraud or conduct risk assessments, (4) collect information about your activities on the Nomad Campus Platform, other sites and/or ads you click on. For example, to help us gain a better understanding of how the Nomad Campus Platform is used, we work with various analytics partners, in particular with Google Analytics. To prevent Google Analytics from using your information for analytical purposes, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on by clicking here.
Third parties may also use these tracking technologies to show you ads that they consider most likely to be of interest to you and to evaluate the performance of their ads both on Nomad Campus Platform and on other websites and online services. The targeting and advertising cookies we use may involve Google’s services, as well as other advertising networks and services we occasionally employ. To disable Google Analytics for advertising purposes or to customize the display of Google ads, please visit the Google Ads Settings page. Given that advertising technologies are implemented on the Nomad Campus Platform, even if you disable personalised advertising, you may continue to receive advertising content. In this case, the advertising content will not be personalised according to your interests. However, we have no control over these disabling links and cannot be held responsible for their availability or accuracy.
Third-party social plugins
The Nomad Campus Platform may use social plugins provided and operated by third-party companies, such as the Facebook "Like" button. As a result, you can share with a third party the information you view within a specific section of our Platform. If you are not logged into your account with the third party, access to personal information will not be granted/ will not be possible. If you are logged into your account with the third party, any information or actions related to your interactions with the Nomad Campus Platform can be linked to your account with that third party. Please consult the third party's privacy policies to learn more about their data practices.
Your choices
Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can change your browser settings, if you prefer not to accept them, by going to the “Help” section of your browser’s toolbar.
“Flash cookies” work in a different way than browser cookies, and the cookie management tools provided by your browser will not delete these “Flash cookies”. To learn more about how to manage "Flash Cookies", you can visit the Adobe Web Site and make changes to the Global Privacy Settings Panel.
You may also be able to manage cookies via the “Settings” function on your mobile device. Please consult your device manufacturer's instructions for more information.
If you choose to reject cookies, some features of the Nomad Campus Platform may not function as intended, or at all.
